Woman accused of murdering Air Force husband back in Trumbull Co.

After more than 11 years a woman who killed her air force husband and escaped to Brazil, has been stripped of her citizenship in Brazi and returned to the USA to stand trial for the murder today and is being housed in the Trumbll county jail in warren Ohio.

Trumbull County Prosecutor Dennis Watkins announced around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday that she is now in Trumbull County Jail.

While Tim Ryan worked to achieve this action it wasn’t until President Trump made phone calls to Brazilian leaders according to White House  staffers in the press office that moved the ball forward.


Hoerig is scheduled to appear before Judge Andrew Logan in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for her arraignment at 10 a.m. Friday.


Karl Hoerig her husband was an Air Force major at the Youngstown Aid Base at the time of his death.
