A Guys Mills-area resident has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Erie on firearms violations and attempting to manufacture methamphetamine charges.Charles J. Butter, 41, has been indicted for possession of multiple firearms while being a convicted felon plus possessing pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and attempting to manufacture methamphetamine.
Butter initially was arrested Sept. 7 at his Guys Mills-area home on a total of 20 charges filed by Pennsylvania State Police including possession of an AK-47 rifle
Butter is being held in the Crawford County jail in Saegertown lieu of a total of $600,000 bond — $500,000 for the September case and $100,000 for the January case, according to court records.
An arrest warrant for Butter has been granted by U.S. District Court in Erie and federal motion to detain Butter is pending, according to federal court records.
